RFYO Preparatory
For the 2025-26 school year the RFYO Preparatory offers the opportunity to learn violin in a small group setting with the option to add weekly private lessons with your instructor. This is for students who have never played and are completely new to violin. Group size is limited so register early. There are also easy and affordable options to rent instruments.

RFYO Preparatory in Aspen Details

The Aspen Preparatory is open only to students entering kindergarten and first grade and will be taught by Dr. Brittni Brown. Need-based Scholarships make it possible for all students to take part. No students are ever turned away. Regular tuition for RFYO Preparatory in Aspen is $700 for the school year. This is equal to $20 per session for approximately 35 sessions from September through May (tuition is not prorated). Everyone is welcome to pay in installments and apply for scholarship. This tuition covers all group classes and concerts. It is separate from weekly lessons costs (lessons are optional). You are welcome and encouraged to set up weekly lessons in addition to the group class, but it is not required. If you select that you would like to apply for scholarship, you also have the option to apply for scholarship for lessons. The RFYO is set up to receive tuition payments using CHE funds. RFYO Preparatory in New Castle Details
The New Castle Prep is open to students ages 7-11 and will be taught by Shaunna Wilsky. Prep in New Castle is open to 8 students
Tuition for RFYO Preparatory in New Castle is $400 for the school year. This is equal to around $13 per session for approximately 30 sessions from September through May (tuition cannot be prorated). Everyone is welcome to pay in installments. This tuition covers all group classes and concerts.
Tuition is separate from weekly lessons costs and lessons are optional. You are welcome to set up weekly lessons in addition to the group class, but it is not required.
The RFYO is set up to receive tuition payments using CHE funds. Please contact Sarah for more details or with any questions. The class will have 28-30 hours of enrichment/class time for the school year.
