How much is RFYO tuition?
Tuition for the full school year is $500. Tuition for one semester is $250. We strongly encourage students to participate for the entire year. Some music that we start in the fall will be performed in the spring.
Discounted tuition for early registration, by August 16th, 2024, is $450. Register by August 16th and then pay part or all of tuition at that time. If you are applying for scholarship, the scholarship application is due by August 11th, but no tuition is due at that time.
Tuition cannot be prorated based on weekly attendance. A payment for the fall semester is due by September 1st, and by February 1st for the spring semester (either full payment or an installment). Complete tuition for the year is due by May 1.
What if I can't afford to pay anything right now, can I still register my child for RFYO?
Yes, absolutely. No payment is required in order to register. All students are accepted into the RFYO regardless of their ability to pay tuition. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at any time in the year.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, everyone is welcome to pay in installments.
How do I apply for scholarship?
Complete the combined RFYO registration and scholarship form.
Should my child be enrolled in private lessons too?
Yes, regular private lessons are required for all string players in order to help students succeed and thrive in both their own playing and in the RFYO. Need-based partial and full scholarships for private lessons and tuition are available in order to make this possible for all students.
How can I support the RFYO program?
The RFYO offers all families the subsidized tuition rate of $500 per year. The actual tuition rate that would cover the full cost of the RFYO program is much higher. If you are able to make a contribution to the RFYO, all donations are tax-deductible. Donating through Colorado Gives or by check ensures that all of your donation goes to the RFYO without extra fees. Thank you!
