MISSION

The Roaring Fork Music Society is dedicated to making orchestral music education and performances accessible and affordable to the youth and community members of the Roaring Fork Valley region through its Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra and outreach programs.

The Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra aims to eliminate the barriers to musical study by offering rehearsals in locations throughout the region, providing need-based scholarships for private lessons and tuition, and loaning instruments to students free of charge. The RFYO program is available to all students in the Roaring Fork Valley region regardless of their ability to pay tuition.

The Roaring Fork Music Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado.

The RFMS and RFYO program bring classical and traditional music to the Roaring Fork Valley community. All concerts are free and family-friendly.

Volunteers

The all-volunteer board of directors of the Roaring Fork Music Society is comprised of local community members, parents, and music educators. We are always looking for more volunteers to help with organizing RFYO events, fundraising, planning outreach concerts, and serving on committees. Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved. The RFMS Board meets at least three times each year, usually in January, May, and September. All records and minutes from past meetings are available upon request.

The Roaring Fork Music Society's 1023 Application, Statement of Approval of 501(c)3 status, Form 990 and other public documents are all available upon request.
